Molecular Genetics

Genetic diseases arise from permanent changes in individual’s gene structure. Genetic changes may be transmitted with different ratios to next generations, so diagnosis of genetic diseases is very important for families to have healthy children and apply plausible required strategies.

Diseases like thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, FMF, phenylketonuria, Duchenne / Becker Muscular Dystrophy (DMD / BMD) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) are commonly seen single gene diseases. Our Center can determine the mentioned single gene defects and it serves for the diagnosis of many other DNA based diseases.

In addition to diagnostic tests held in our center, we have worldwide designated cooperates to have almost every kind of genetic test done.

"Genetic information offers an unlimited source of knowledge about human health and development; yet interpreting and applying this information places a huge responsibility on the scientific community."
