About Us

Technology has been progressing very rapidly and remarkably incredible advances and high-tech applications are also feasible in medicine today . Out of many medical branches; especially, medical genetics attains new knowledge almost everyday and makes use of it for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment in patients.

Developments in genetics have revealed that changes in genetic structure are thought to be main factor behind many diseases. Since any alteration(s) in genome may potentially be transmitted to the next generations, it is important to put an accurate and a pre-diagnostic interfering to develop preventive and therapeutic methods as well as to determine required strategies.

Diagnosis of genetic diseases affecting morbidity and mortality rates, is of great importance. Prenatal and postnatal diagnosis, determination of carriers within the family and genetic counsellors supervision are also very important for the families having genetic disease(s). Through application of certain DNA tests, disease-causing genetic changes can be identified.

Nowadays, many genetic diseases can be detected during pregnancy and at prenatal and pre-implantation stages. However, it is not technically possible to perform all genetic tests in a single center due to the wide diversity of genetic diseases. So, even today, we might have serious problems in the detection and identification of rarely seen genetic diseases.

Our Center that is aware of the challenges faced by clinicians and patients about genetic diagnosis, was founded in 2006 in order to follow and apply current developments in genetics concurrently with the world. GENETİKS also aims at providing qualified and reliable services to applicants with our professional staff in the following fields:

  • Clinical Genetics
  • Genetic Counselling
  • Cytogenetics
  • Molecular Cytogenetics
  • Molecular Genetics
  • Cancer Genetics
  • Pharmacogenetic
  • Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
  • Sports Genetics
  • Nutrigenetics
  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing
